ADORNED: Introduction to Making felted beads
This course teaches you how to make felt beads - small, solid spheres created from wool, water, and soap through the magic of friction and patience. Over 10 modules, you’ll learn the basic technique, how to knit the casing, how to make holes in your beads, different methods for adding colour and decoration, natural dyeing, and ways to finish and use what you’ve made.
The modules are short and practical. Each one covers a single step or technique. You can work through them in order or jump to whatever interests you.
Access: This course is free to all Studio members as part of your membership. If you’re not a member, the course costs £32 and gives you access for 18 months from purchase. The beads you make can become jewelery, embellishments for other projects, gifts, or just beautiful objects that taught you something about working with wool. What matters is the making itself - learning how transformation happens when you work with your hands.
