What’s Inside
Carefully gathered materials for exploring the gentle art of felt bead making - enough to try different approaches and find your own way of working.
The making materials:
- Vintage wool yarn in a natural colour
- Carded wool fleece for the felting core
- Waxed cotton thread
- Wool embroidery thread (felts beautifully into beads)
- Silk cord for finishing touches
- Selection of needles
For natural colour:
- Dyer’s chamomile flowers
- Scabious ‘Black Knight’ flowers
Everything comes packaged in glassine envelopes - practical, plastic free and lovely to handle.
You’ll Also Need
- Rubber gloves with textured palms (for the felting process)
- Knitting needles, size 2-3.5mm
- Washing up liquid
These aren’t included as most people have them already, or prefer to choose their own needle size.
What You Can Make
This kit contains enough materials to make many beads - some simple, some more complex as your confidence grows. There’s plenty to experiment with different techniques, try various colour combinations, and discover what calls to you.
