Patchwork Pincushion Kit – Reclaimed Wool + Vintage Button
A hand-picked kit to make your own star-shaped pincushion from reclaimed Scottish wool fabrics. Limited archive stock.
A quiet classic from the Studio.
This pincushion kit was originally created as an introduction to English paper piecing. It’s a simple, meditative project you can finish in a weekend—and a useful one, too.
The wool fabrics come from the archived sample books of a now-closed Scottish textile mill. The fibres are fine wool and wool/silk mixes once destined for Italian tailoring—now repurposed into something slow and handmade.
Each kit contains everything you need except scissors: printed templates, instructions, pins, a vintage shell button, and a choice of stuffing (wool or walnut). There are just six left.
This is for you if:
- You enjoy slow-sewing and functional handwork
- You want to use beautiful materials with a story
- You appreciate reclaimed, archive-edition kits
Kit includes
- 5 squares of fine tweed wool
- Vintage shell button
- Paper templates
- Sewing thread + pins
- Tacking thread
- Needle
- Choice of ground walnut shells or wool stuffing
- Printed instructions and PDF download link
Please note: due to regulations, wool stuffing only available within the UK.
