May Experiment - Taking the same route
One of the things I find trickiest about having a chronic autoimmune condition is winnowing out the actual symptoms from things that are just part of the human condition.
Over the past few months I have noticed my physical fitness going - but also an increase in the number of times that I have been laid flat by doing something physical. The times at the gym where I really doubted that I was fit to drive home. The brain fog that descended halfway through narrowing mulch.
It has been worrying me a lot and what I want to find out is how much of the extreme fatigue is due to my condition and how much to a vicious circle of my making less and less physical effort in an attempt to be able to keep going more sedately for more of the day?
So for May I have decided to walk the same route every single day. To do it at the start of the day and in a non-negotiable way by being dropped off by Euan on his way to work three and a half miles from home. It should hardly be beyond me.
I am also interested in what I will notice day after day, week after week travelling along the same route.
I shall be posting photos every weekday morning on my Instagram stories if you fancy following along.
