Making calendula and chamomile bath soak
Calendula can have wonderfully soothing effects, and I found this recipe almost miraculous in taking the heat out of chicken pox. Calendula flowers are easy to grow and they bloom for more months than not, you might like to grow your own with our kits.
You need:
- Handful of calendula flowers
- Handful of oats
- Chamomile tea bag
- Square piece of muslin
- String, ribbon or elastic band
Method:
Pull the edges together and secure with string or elastic band.
Use in warm (not hot) bath, let it steep for 10 minutes and then squeeze to get all the goodness out.
After the bath add the contents to your compost bin.
You can also make a calming calendula balm to moisturise and soothe irritated skin.
