  <description><![CDATA[Jane, your comment about length being a factor in safety of the swimming garment made me wonder if Edith Holden’s drowning was due to her long skirts tangling around her legs making it impossible to right herself. That it was recognized that that was unsafe is so interesting.]]></description>
